Another Check by the Doctor
She said shes significantly more along than this morning. She said she will check again in about 2 hours and see. The Contractions are significally more severe and rhythmic. Dialation is 3cm, so still a ways to go. I’m off to a delicious dinner in the Cafeteria while Jen rests.
Epidural is in.
She’s feeling hardly any pain. She gets an exam in about 45 minutes to see how dilated she is.

She’s had enough. Time for the epidural.
Its starting to hurt
So they kicked up the pitocin quite a bit and Jens starting to feel the pain. We just had the epidural question rise and they said it happens relatively fast. Like 5 minutes after it is ordered. So that’s great news.

Here’s Jen doing some VERY important research on what’s the next step now that her water is broke and Pitocin has been kicked up to like 12… Oh wait… that can’t be good news… Is Britney Spears really doing that? haha… Of course she’s just reading People.

Sprung a Leak
Well, the doctor came in and broke Jen’s water…. Here we go. Contractions are still far apart and Jen barely feels them. But they are consistant.

Monitor mania
Here’s Jen’s belly all strapped with monitors. One is for the baby’s heartbeat,(which EVERYONE keeps saying looks Awesome); and the other is to measure the contractions.

She’s just lying down resting, slipping in and out of naps. Pretty tired no doubt from the lack of food she’s had to endure. Those ice chips don’t really do much I imagine. She feels great however.
