Looking at the map we opted to not drive more than 4-5 hours at a time. So this leg of the journey will take us to Cherry Hill Park Campground in College Park Maryland. We stayed there last year for several days so we knew a little about it’s proximity to the highway, etc.
Cherry Hill Park – A Monumental Experience
9800 Cherry Hill Road, College Park, MD 20740
First step in packing the girls was to allow them 2 bins for “personal toys” This is what their bins looked like.
With the exception of some heavy traffic going over the George Washington Bridge, we arrived at Cherry Hill only a couple hours behind schedule. We drove for approximately 6 hours. During the first couple of hours of the trip was Roadschooling time. You can see Jen worked with the girls on their schoolwork.
Here was our pull through site that we were able to connect to sand setup in under 20 minutes. We were hoping to get together with Jen’s Aunt and Uncle for dinner, but we pulled in just a few too late to make it work. After we hooked up, we had to go get some food since we weren’t planning on cooking anything and nothing was out and thawed (except for Shayla’s food of course)We had a great dinner at The Fire Station 1 It was good just to get out of the truck as you can imagine. Next stop…. Enfield, North Carolina
